Peas Pulao

Ingredients

Basmati rice - 2 cups

Shelled green peas - 1 cup

Onions - 4 (Sliced)

Ghee - 1/3 cup

Coriander leaves - 2 tbsp. Chpd

Mint leaves - 2 tbsp.Chpd

Chillies Spice Drop™ - 4 drops

Garam Masala Spice Drop™ - 10 drops

Cardamom Spice Drop™ - 3 drops

Salt -to taste.

Method

  • Clean the rice and soak in water for 15 minutes.

  • Drain and keep aside.

  • Heat ghee in a thick bottom pan, fry onions till brown.

  • Add rice, peas, salt and 4 – 4 ½ cups of water.

  • Cover and cook on a slow flame.

  • When rice is half cooked, add the Spice Drop™ and mix gently.

  • Cover & continue to cook till done.

  • Mix coriander and mint leaves.

  • Serve hot garnished with fried cashew nuts and kismis.
